ALL PURPOSE HI-SILICA "DIATOMITE" GROWING MEDIA

Maidenwell Diatomite is a rich source of plant available silica which is widely documented to stimulate Self Acquired Resistance (SAR) in plants thereby increasing their resistance to disease.

Hi-Silica, premium Maidenwell Diatomite is derived from a fresh (clear water) diatomite deposit found in Queensland, Australia. It has been repeatedly proven that with correct application and proper farm management, Diatomite will generate more "flushes" resulting in an increased production of healthier foliar and flowers.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Incorporate into soil at a rate of approximately five litres per square meter. Dig in well or simply apply to the surface from 25 mm to 50 mm (one to two inches) similar to mulch. This will also assist weed control, stopping most weeds growing through the medium, it also deters slugs and snails coming near the plants. Diatomite is so highly absorbent, it de-hydates them and the sharps cut them.

NOTE: It is important to saturate Diatomite with water and nutrient as soon as possible upon application. This will achieve maximum benefit and optimun results.

These instructions apply to all types of gardens, roses, gerberas, orchids, ferns, hibiscus, etc. All other plants, shrubs, vegetables and fruit will benefit

from the application of Diatomite. Also, indoor and outdoor potted plants will flourish when grown in 100% Diatomote and appropriate nutrients are applied.

FOOTNOTE: At the completion of the growing season, turn the surface material over with a garden fork or hoe. It is only necessary to re-apply (top up) on an annual basis.

Available in 0.5 - 2mm, 2 - 7mm, 15 mm and 15 - 25 mm.
