The Gavita DigiStar ballasts have been developed to drive a wide range of HPS/MH lamps. They are manufactured using the highest quality components needed for the high output frequency. The result is a very cool digital ballast with optimal output specifications, absence of acoustic resonance and a very long life. Output can be boosted up +15% (1000W model).

Digital ballasts have a lot of advantages over traditional magnetic ballasts: They are more efficient, adjustable, generate much less heat and provide a stable output regardless of the input voltage. Using a magnetic ballast you will lose light when your mains voltage is less than optimal. To build a stable digital ballast you need high quality components. This is especially the case if you want to reach the high frequencies required to prevent acoustic resonance in your arc tube, which can lead to premature lamp failure.

DigiStar ballasts are built using the highest quality components. This results in a ballast that outputs a very high frequency (preventing acoustic resonance) but also a very cool ballast. The DigiStar is cooler and performs at a much higher frequency than comparable A-brand ballasts. The DigiStar ballasts are adjustable over a wide output range, enabling you to dim or boost your lamp. With 10% boost on the 400 and 600W models, and 15% on the 1000W models you are guaranteed to generate the highest output available.

To ensure a long lamp life we have built in soft-dim. When you adjust your output it takes 60 seconds to gradually dim or boost per step. This process is so gradual that your eyes won’t even see the difference. Multiple output power enables you to use different lamps with a single ballast: The 400W model can be used for 250W and 400W lamps, the 600W model for 400 and 600W lamps and the 1000W model for 600W and 1000W lamps.

The internal microprocessor ensures the highest possible output in any circumstance.

GAVITA PRO SYSTEMS (600 SE & 1000 DE)

Gavita Pro 600 SEEU product award 2010Gavita Pro 1000 DE

Features & Benefits:

  • Professional matched components
  • Only available in 240v
  • Full fixtures only for use with corresponding lamps
    • 600w 400v el single ended lamp
    • 1000w 400v el double ended lamp
  • Adjustable wattages
  • Ultra high frequencies
  • No acoustic resonance
  • Up to 8% more grow light
  • Light maintenance after 5000 hrs > 95%
  • Remote ballast pro (600w & 1000w)
  • For electronic lamps only

The Gavita Pro 600 & Gavita Pro 1000 are the first 240 Volt electronic ballasts that power the professional Philips GreenPower 600W 400V EL (Single Ended) & 1000W 400V EL (Double Ended) electronic lamps. These lamps have the highest PAR light output, improved spectrum and the best light maintenance (>95% PAR light over one year of use). Being the most efficient 1000W horticultural lamp available and the only lamp specifically developed for electronic ballasts this is the 1000W lamp of choice for Dutch professional greenhouse growers.

The Gavita Pro systems are available as complete fixtures with the highly efficient professional HortiStar HR 96 1000 DE reflector or as a remote ballast. Being completely closed and solid state (no fans) with extremely low heat dissipation the remote ballast can be mounted close to your lamps, enabling safe and easy installation. Having your ballast close to your lamp reduces the amount of EMI (RF interference). The complete fixtures are easily mounted with two balanced eye bolts. Special brackets are available as an accessory. Both ballasts are adjustable, enabling them to drive a wide range of EL lamps and boost them 10 or 15%, creating the highest output in the market.

GAVITA PRO 300 LIGHT EMITTING PLASMA (LEP)

Gavita Pro 300 LEPGavita 300 LEP Spectrum

Features & Benefits:

  • Solid state plasma: no moving parts, fans or sound
  • Horticultural quality fixture
  • Miro aluminum reflector, square light pattern
  • High quality glass filter
  • Full spectrum light incl. Uvb
  • Rated average lamp life of 30,000 hours
  • Optional: adjustable with 0-10 v or potentiometer

Growing in indoor conditions without sunlight not only requires a good climate, but also a good quality light. Though one can grow successful under HPS alone, or a combination of HPS and MH, it is still not the full spectrum our sun delivers. The Gavita Pro 300 LEP produces light with a spectrum similar to that of the sun.

Plants have evolved under sunlight over millions of years. University studies have shown that seedlings and cuttings grown under full spectrum plasma light develop much better than under HPS or CFL light and produce more lateral branches. The dry matter increases up to 30 % and the plant structure is more even and better distributed compared to HPS. It brings your plant into the best conditions for generative development. Depending on your crop you can either use only the plasma light or a combination of plasma light and HPS for plants that thrive on red light for generative development.

The Gavita Pro 300 LEP is a solid state horticultural plasma light fixture. There are no moving parts in the fully sealed housing, improving the reliability. The light source is a LUXIM STA 41.02 LiFi module which has a rated average life of 30,000 hours.

The glass wide spectrum filter allows for low quantities UVB light to pass while shielding you and your crop from UVC. The Miro aluminum reflector generates an even square light pattern. The absence of heat radiation in the light allows you to hang the lamp close to your crop, or to add the light without adding extra heat radiation to your crop.

Gold Label

GOLD LABEL SUBSTRATES

Gold Label Hydrocorn & CocoGold Label 80/20

Gold Label offers you the best possible substrate in the market. All substrates are RHP certified.

GOLD LABEL COCO - Gold Label Coco is the best buffered coco in the market with a very low EC. This not only guarantees a clean and buffered substrate, but also a production process with respect for the environment. Gold Label Coco is an ideal hydroponics substrate: It’s an organic rest material and a renewable resource, light and airy, can hold 8-10 times its weight in water, has a high capillary action, a stable pH and can be reused or recycled in the compost bin.

GOLD LABEL HYDROCORN - Gold Label Hydrocorn is the inert hydroponics substrate of choice for professionals. The 8-16 mm size provides stability and the unique uneven shape of the pebble is an ideal surface for roots and beneficial bacteria. The porous structure has a high water capacity and is suitable for both ebb/flood and top irrigation systems. Gold Label Hydrocorn is also available in 4-8mm and 16-25mm.

GOLD LABEL 80/20 - Gold Label 80/20 is 80% Hydrocorn and 20% Coco. It is an ideal match for high water capacity, lower watering frequency and better rooting. We utilize the 16-25mm Hydrocorn from Gold Label and the purest Gold Label Coco to give you the perfect ebb and flood growing substrate that also works well in any pot based systems. The 80/20 mix allows you to feed less frequently than in straight Hydrocorn. This gives you a buffer on the watering times but still allows you to feed regularly without over watering.
